What’s changing?

For our 1st April 2020 review, customers are being given more choice, more clarity, and extended cover. See below for some of the main changes to the plans we offer. For full details of what’s changed, please refer to the relevant plan handbook, or contact your AXA representative.

More flexibility with SME group cover

Your clients now have more flexibility when choosing the Comprehensive level of cover. Clients can now choose to add the dental optional upgrade, alongside either the maternity upgrade, or extended out-patient option.

This applies to global health plans insured by AXA PPP healthcare Limited and AXA Insurance dac, as well as the Global Protect Health Plan, insured by AXA General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited.

Increase in wig benefit and head coverings

We recognise the need to provide more benefit for customers experiencing hair loss, triggered by cancer treatment. Your clients can now claim up to a limit of £400/€510/$640 for either a wig, or another type of temporary head covering during their treatment.

This applies to global health plans insured by AXA PPP healthcare Limited and AXA Insurance dac, the Islands Health Plan (insured by AXA PPP healthcare Limited) as well as the Global Protect Health Plan, insured by AXA General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited. Please note, this benefit is not included with Foundation or Core levels of cover.

Introducing Foundation cover for businesses

Give your business clients even more choice with the new Foundation level of cover for groups of up to 49 employees. This cover option will be available from 1st April 2020 across global health plans to businesses looking to provide essential cover for employees on international assignment. Keep an eye on our website for further information over the coming weeks.

This new level of cover is available to business groups of up to 49 employees with global health plans insured by AXA PPP healthcare Limited or AXA Insurance dac (excluding plans insured by AXA General Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited). Speak to your AXA representative for more information.

Update to the international travel plans

We’ll now pay up to £3,000 per insured member for reasonable additional travel and accommodation costs due to the insolvency of the customer's transport supplier, accommodation supplier, or, their booking agents. This benefit will apply if your clients have to make alternative arrangements to continue with their travel plans.

This applies to the International Travel Plan insured by AXA PPP healthcare Limited or AXA Insurance dac. See the handbook for more details.
