Introducing AXA XL
AXA XL is the property, casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, offering property, casualty and health insurance, as well as reinsurance products.
Alongside AXA PPP healthcare Limited, AXA XL¹ will underwrite new policies arranged from our UK hub.

No matter which of our insurers underwrites your clients' policy, you can be confident they'll benefit from the same global proposition and experience, including the same 4.8 out of 5 star service².
Plus, your account and relationship teams remain the same - you'll still call the same number when you need to get in touch, and you'll continue to deal with the same trusted representatives from your global healthcare team.
How to find those all-important documents for our new insurer
All of the documents you need to sell, administer and service your clients' policies with us are available on your dedicated toolkit. Be sure to pay close attention that you're downloading the correct insurance documentation when you're on your toolkit:
- For plans insured by AXA XL please make sure the documents you're downloading are for customers with policy numbers starting 'BW'. We've made it clear on the list of documents available, which includes:
- handbooks
- application forms
- insurance product information documents (IPIDs)
- Our pre sales materials for our global health plans will remain the same, regardless of whether your client's policy is underwritten by AXA PPP healthcare Limited, AXA Insurance dac or XL Catlin Insurance Company UK Limited.

Moving forward
At the same time as adding AXA XL to our insurer panel, we're introducing some changes to our distribution of global health plans insured by AXA PPP healthcare Limited, who have conducted a proactive review of local regulations across several countries to ensure their policies could continue to meet the needs of members residing there.
Whilst this resulted in no distribution changes in many countries, for others, we'll no longer be able to offer cover underwritten by AXA PPP healthcare Limited where we previously could. However, this doesn't mean can't offer your clients cover – we'll simply need to look for the most suitable plan for them.
Building our panel of insurers allows us to continue to meet the growing demands of clients and their businesses around the world, and ensures your clients are safe in the knowledge that their global health plan is giving them the cover they need.
