Need to talk to a doctor but don’t speak the local language? Or just struggling to find time for that appointment in your busy schedule? When you live or work abroad, accessing healthcare isn’t always easy. But with our online doctor service, now available as part of our international health plans, you can speak to an experienced, internationally qualified doctor - at a time and place that suits you.
You can always speak to a doctor in English, Spanish and Mandarin. And if these aren’t languages you speak, don’t worry, there are many more available, just ask when you arrange a call back or video consultation and the team will do their best to help.
Arranging an appointment couldn’t be easier, just call or use the app to request a call back or book a video consultation. And don’t worry if it’s out of hours or in the middle of the night, you can arrange for a doctor to call you back 24/7. Or for a video consultation between 08.00 and 00.00 GMT Monday to Friday.
All of the doctors are highly experienced and internationally qualified. They can diagnose the problems you or your family may have and recommend the best next steps to take. They can also provide e-prescriptions in many locations1 and arrange referrals to specialists, including to the Mind Health service, if it's mental health support you need.
Whether you’re living or working abroad, back visiting your home country or on holiday with the family, you’ll have an experienced doctor at your fingertips.
Take the time to explain your concern in full without being rushed through your appointment. You can have a 30 minute phone or video consultation to really explain the issue and get the best advice to help you get better.
Anyone covered on your plan will have access to a doctor over the phone or online. So if your child feels ill in the middle of the night, you can call on their behalf and you could be speaking to a doctor in a matter of hours2.
