Choose a plan that works for you

To perform at your best, you need to know you have the right support: that you have medical cover you can count on and advice whenever you need it. With AXA - Global Healthcare you can be confident in the knowledge that with our medical network of over 1.9million recognised medical facilities available worldwide4 the medical support you need will be there the moment you need it.

Yes, with AXA’s global health plans your cover travels with you, whether you’re moving between two countries or travelling further afield.

Our plans provide a range of cover from the essentials (Foundation) through to our ultimate cover (Prestige plus). Choose the plan that best suits your situation and personal healthcare needs. Just some of the benefits you can see throughout all our plans include:

  • Virtual doctor service² – Speak to a real doctor, online or over the phone.

  • Dedicated Cancer support

  • Mind Health Service⁴ – Support for your mental health whenever, wherever you need it.

  • Option to include dental cover

  • Evacuation and repatriation as standard – If you can’t get the treatment you need locally

  • 24/7 Support – Online or over the phone

  • Second opinion service

  • Cover for overnight stays in hospital and ambulance transport, CT, MRI, and PET scans, as well as surgical procedures.

With a global health plan from AXA, your cover travels with you, whether you’re moving between two countries or travelling further afield. We’ll also give you the option to exclude the USA from your area of cover, which can lower the cost of your premiums, as treatment is often more expensive there. Even if you exclude it, with most of our plans, you’ll still be covered there in an emergency.

There are many factors influencing the price of your premiums. The most common factors are:

  • Location – Where do you need cover? The price of private healthcare varies between countries and regions.

  • Age – Unfortunately, the older we are, the more health issues we tend to have. Therefore, as you age your premium will usually rise.

  • Pre-existing medical conditions – As a rule of thumb we don’t cover pre-existing medical conditions. Plans are designed to cover medical conditions arising after you join.

  • Added extras –There are options to include dental care, outpatient treatment or pregnancy care on top of your standard plan, which will impact the overall price you pay.

  • Medical Inflation – Due to ever-developing medical treatments and tests the price of healthcare increases, pushing the price of healthcare insurance up with it.

Payment is available monthly, quarterly and annually.

If you need to claim, we can often pay the provider directly. So, you can avoid surprise healthcare bills and instead pay a regular, predictable premium.

Leaving your company scheme?

Don’t forget that if you leave your company, you can continue your global healthcare cover on a personal plan, so there’s no gap in your cover. You’ll qualify for a continuation offer, meaning you can stay covered for your existing medical conditions, subject to the terms and conditions of your new plan5.

This offer is valid for 3 months after you leave your company scheme. After this 3 month period, the option of having continuous cover could be more difficult. Please note, the benefits offered by our individual plans will differ from those available on corporate plans, so you should always check your scheme documentation.
