On April 24th, Mr. Fred Ding, Managing Director of AXA Global Healthcare China, and Ms. Angel Wang, Head of Distribution at AXA Global Healthcare China, visited HSBC Broker-Pinnacle China and had an in-depth exchange with Mr. Zhang Yu, Head of Wealth Planning and Strategic Insights of HSBC Broker-Pinnacle China, and Mr. Lam Ka Yiu, Global Insurance Business Development Director of HSBC. Their meeting marked the beginning of a new chapter in the joint exploration of future high-quality development.
In a move set to redefine the health insurance landscape in China, AXA Global Healthcare China has announced a strategic partnership with HSBC Broker-Pinnacle China, a wholly owned subsidiary of the HSBC Group. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the high end international health insurance market, combining global healthcare expertise with local market reach to meet the growing demands of high-net-worth clients in China.
As of 24 April, HSBC Broker-Pinnacle China has begun offering SmartCare Exclusive, AXA Global Healthcare China’s flagship product, to its clients. This is the first time HSBC Broker-Pinnacle China has integrated a third-party international health insurance product into its offering - a bold step that underscores both organisations’ commitment to innovation and customer-centric protection solutions.
SmartCare Exclusive has gained strong traction in the local market due to its global medical network, flexible protection plans, and robust service proposition. This partnership not only strengthens the product’s presence in mainland China but also showcases the growing appetite for international-standard healthcare solutions within the region.
“This alliance represents a powerful convergence of global insurance and financial expertise.” said Mr. Fred Ding, Managing Director at AXA Global Healthcare China.
“Together with HSBC Broker-Pinnacle, we’re setting a new benchmark for the delivery of premium health insurance in China. By aligning our strengths, we are not only accelerating our footprint in the region but also helping reshape how international healthcare coverage is accessed and experienced by discerning clients.”
